Keven Kinaschuk (above left) was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada and
presently resides in Littleton. He spent his formative
years at home eating pierogies and playing the drums in a
garage band. It wasn’t long before Keven realized the
merits of good food and a paying job. This sent him to the
University of North Dakota to study business and start his
illustrious career in the restaurant business.
Keven’s experiences in the restaurant and bar business are
extensive. While attending university, Keven established the
Urban Stampede coffee house and managed The Antique Night
Club in Grand Forks, North Dakota. Then it was on to
Palomino Euro-Metro Bistro in Minneapolis. The opportunity
to establish the Rock Bottom Brewery with Chris McGraw in
Portland, Oregon called Keven westward and into the
management track of Rock Bottom Restaurants Inc. From
Portland it was on to Seattle as a part of the opening
management team of the Seattle Rock Bottom. In 1998 Keven
was offered the position of General Manager of Operations at
the Denver ChopHouse, a flagship restaurant for Rock Bottom
Restaurants Inc. At the ChopHouse, Keven got great
exposure, hosting the Broncos' Super Bowl victory party in
1999, and for this hockey fan, the chance to hoist Lord
Stanley's cup over his head at the 2001 Avalanche Stanley
Cup Victory Party hosted by the restaurant. Keven was then
on to Boulder to set up yet another Rock Bottom restaurant.
He then returned to Denver and finally found his nirvana in
a converted hardware store in historic downtown Littleton.
McKinners Pizza Bar is the result of Keven’s life-long dream
of owning his own restaurant. Keven understands what
excellent dining means and makes every detail of the
experience count. Keven’s goal is to have McKinners
maintain impeccable service standards while embracing a
funky charm, giving every customer more than just a meal
out.
